Vael is trying to calm Mamon's frustration towards Ash when God steps in. He notes that this was God's test but once again Ash brushes off his concerns confident she can handle it, telling him to worry about himself.Ī few days after Ash is defeated by Hayan, she disappears, leaving the rest of the angels to continue with the project. While glad she took the measure, he asks why she did not go far enough to out Hayan as a Pureblood. He then leaves stating he doesn’t want to fight and reminds Ash of the importance of patience and what they’re planning to do next.Ī few days later, he returns to Ash's home again where he is sipping a glass of blood and watching the aftermath of Ash revealing that Hayan is a vampire. As Ash becomes increasingly irritated with these orders, she threatens Vael that he will have the same fate as Sahan. He tries to show concern towards Ash for not having a plan, but she brushed it off, insinuating that he feared Hayan. He relays a message from God to not jump the gun. He taunts her for being a child when things don’t go her way. Vael then visits Ash in her home after her failed to attempt at draining Euntae and Hayan's life force. Vael explains that Ash is the only Angel with an unclear role in the group, and advises Mamon to follow God's orders. After Ash declares her intentions to hunt Hayan, Mamon privately confides with the other two Angels his concerns over Ash's eagerness and the fact that the Angels were instructed to hunt her one by one instead of as a group.
Vael watches as Ash confronts and kills Sahan. Vael, along with some of the other Angels, taunts and admonishes Sahan for his failure, and declares that God does not have time for a failure such as Sahan.
Vael attends an Angel of Death meeting, when Sahan bursts into the meeting room. Vael is alluded to by a lesser vampire, who explains that the 6 Angels of Death are on an entirely different level of power than regular vampires, and so the lesser vampires should simply bow and show respect. Upon learning that Yohan's blood wasn't 100% Pureblood, and switched loyalty to Hayan Park. In truth, Vael despises Yohan's wickedness and sought ways to undermine him and protect innocent people. Secretly, however, Vael was only pretended to be loyal to Yohan in order to save Daniel. Sahan, however, is not blindly loyal to Yohan and is able to see the shortcomings in Yohan's tactics. He also looks down upon failures, stating that God did not want to see Sahan and noting Sahan's nerve showing up to a meeting after his complete failure. However, he will not accept challenges to his rank in the hierarchy and is prepared to fight even other Angels. He usually speaks courteously and respectfully to others. He is very calm and level-headed compared to most of the other Angels of Death and does not lose his temper. Vael initially is portrayed as Yohan Seo's most loyal Angel. When he is in his human form, his pupils are black.īefore becoming a vampire, he had light brown shoulder length hair that he would style in different manners. He is always seen in Vampire form, having red eyes, sharp claws and of course fangs. He also where dark colored loafers and black band like rings on his fingers. The carries a pale blue handkerchief in his left breast pocket. There are time where he is seen wearing the suite closed and with a tie. His typical attire consists of white two-piece suit which he wears a long black sleeve button down shirt with the top buttons being open exposing a little of his chest.
He has dyed purple hair that is style in a wavy bowl cut with bangs reaching the top of his eyelids.
